How it works

We begin by listening.
Every story starts with a conversation. We sit with business owners, ask questions to understand the why, and take time to honor who they are and what matters most.

The story is shaped with care.
From those conversations, a written reflection takes form. Photography accompanies the story, captured on real film to preserve authenticity. AI and digital tools support the process, but the heart of the work comes from people being present and taking time to understand one another.

Nothing is shared without consent.
Every story is reviewed before it is published. What is shared belongs to the person who lived it.

The story becomes part of the community.
Once released, it becomes part of LubbuL LocaL, a growing collection of reflections that honor the people who give a place its meaning.

Nominate a Business

Anyone can nominate a business they believe deserves to be seen.
If someone lives with faith, resilience, or a meaningful commitment to their community, you can share their name. We will reach out and let them decide if they want to participate.
